Take a short break at DAY’S COFFEE in Nagahoribashi

A great place for your coffee fix or a rest-stop while you’re on the go touring around Minami-Osaka.

If you’re staying in the Nagahoribashi/Shinsaibashi area, this DAY’S COFFEE may just be the place to start off your morning- in prior to your Osaka adventure. You may order inexpensive freshly-brewed coffee as take-out or for those who prefer a laid-back start, there is an option of eating inside the coffee shop.

DAY’S COFFEE SHOP

Similar to most coffee shops, the barista takes your order upon entering. If you have time, I personally suggest sitting inside and enjoy sipping your cup of hot coffee (or tea). The retro interior of the shop gives you a very homey, warm feel. I don’t know if this is just me, but I get pretty stressed out when I’m traveling, so sitting down for breakfast at a nearby cafe preps me for the day of adventure.

I want to point out that this coffee shop is very unique, and that most of the tables allow smoking. The picture above has a no-smoking sign; so for those who wish to smoke should avoid these seats.

What I drank

To be completely honest with you, I’m not much of a coffee junkie, (caffeine makes me anxious) so when I visit this coffee shop, I usually opt for tea. You can choose from a vast selection of blended teas; from chamomile to ‘English breakfast’. Below, is a picture of when I ordered the iced “Red Berries”.

Solo-friendly

If you travel solo, have no fear! At DAY’S COFFEE, there are also counter seats available near the entrance of the coffee shop, so grab a seat and while sipping your coffee, skim through your travel book (or an itinerary) to check your plans for the day!
